At around this evening (Thursday, June 16) an argument took place between two pairs of men in the underpass between Basingstoke Leisure Centre and the Winklebury Estate. A fight broke out and one of the pairs of men, both aged in their late 30s, were stabbed. Two men have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and are currently in custody being questioned by officers. ? Detective Sergeant Oliver Lage, said: “I need to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident. It happened in broad daylight and it is likely someone saw what happened.
