Berlin Victory Column.


Germany. Berlin Victory Column. Designed by the German architect Heinrich Strack (1805-1880), after 1864. It commemorates the Prussian victory in the Danish-Prussian War although, as the monument was inaugurated in 1873, Prussia has also victorious in the Austro-Prussian War and in the Franco-Prussian War. On the top, is a bronze sculpture of Victoria, designed by the German sculptor Friedrich Drake (1805-1882). Tiergarten Park.
