The Danzantes are figures carved in stone at the pre-Columbian Zapotec ruins of Monte Alban in Oaxaca, Mexico. They show what are thought to be mutilated captives. Orignially they were thought to be dancers, but this is no longer believed. A UNESCO World Heritage Site.
