A funny giraffe cleans its nose with its tongue. Namibia, South Africa: A HUMOUROUS sequence of images shows a cheeky giraffe cleaning its nose with its super bendy tongue. In one of the photographs, the giraffe puts its tongue round the corner and up its nose to clean itself. Another photograph shows the same giraffe hiding being the branches of a tree as if embarrassed that it had been caught out. Giraffe's tongues are over half a metre long and are covered in antiseptic saliva to prevent infection. These funny photographs were captured by German photographer André Emme (36) outside of Okahandja, Namibia using a Nikon D7200. "I love being able to capture this tiny fraction of time and highlight the many facets of an animal's behaviour and appearance," André said. "I love to portray the gorgeous side of the animal kingdom, but just as much I do enjoy seeing the quirky and silly things they do and the more unusual aspects of their characters. "For me, a picture that makes people laugh is just as good as one that is being adored for its beauty." mediadrumimages/AndréEmme
