Cassiopeia constellation. Optical image of the northern constellation of Cassiopeia. Its five brightest stars make the shape of a W (upper centre), representing the throne of Queen Cassiopeia in Greek mythology. From left to right, these stars are Epsilon, Delta, Gamma, Alpha and Beta Cassiopeiae. The constellation contains many open star clusters and galaxies, and the Milky Way, our own galaxy, runs through it.
