Type locality: Not cited. Distribution: Mexico, but range unknown. The origin of this species is unknown but it is supposed to have come from Mexico. It is not uncommon in European collections and Dr. Rose studied it in Berlin in 1912. At one time we had it in our collection but it has since disappeared; otherwise the plant is known to us only from the descriptions and illustrations.
