The Harbour Gjógv Eysturoy Føroyar. The Faroes Islands.
‘Gjógv’ is the Faroese word for ‘ravine’. The place is called so because of the natural harbor in a ravine next to the village. The fishing-boats sail into the bottom of the ravine. From there they are dragged on a ramp from the bottom of the ravine up and away from the surf.
