Plainwell, Michigan - The Michigan Paper Company Mill Historic District. Paper was made here from the 1880s until 2000. The mill polluted the Kalamazoo River, which became a Superfund site. The city of Plainwell acqauired the mill in 2006; parts were demolished and other sections cleaned up, becoming City Hall, with space for other businesses.
