The Itata is known to be wellarmed, having ten mounted guns and about onehundred and fifty of a crew. Her shipmentconsisted of 1,000 rifles and two and a half mil-lion cartridges, all intended for the use of therebel army in Chili. The Charleston is shown inthe illustration.
