A composite image of a pair of Sandhill Cranes, Antigone canadensis, taking off in the Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge in New Mexico, USA. This composite was made of nine separate images taken of their takeoff to show the sequence in one image. The images of the actual takeoff sequence were combined in post-processing software to produce this image.
