JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (March 2, 2017) – Elissa Karl, Naval Hospital Jacksonville physical therapist, reassesses Petty Officer 2nd Class Lewis Bradshaw, as part of the hospital’s low back pain Integrated Practice Unit (IPU). This IPU is one of four the hospital has launched as part of its pilot of value-based care for Navy Medicine. Value-based care focuses on results that matter most to patients, from feeling healthy and having a sense of well-being, to being able to do daily activities and fulfill life roles at work and home.
