This is the largest of the foreign varieties, specimens having been grown to weigh as heavy as three pounds. It produces large sized bulbs within 120 days from time the seeds were planted. This is the earliest variety of Onion, generally ready for gathering within 45 days after sowing seeds. Very mild, pure white, both skin and flesh. Onions are large, flat in shape, with skin of a purplish-red color and flesh of a purplish-white color. Resists drought better than most onions.
