A 13-foot-high Moss Tree comes to save Newcastle city centre. Having clean air to breathe protects our wellbeing and keeps us healthy. The Moss Tree idea has been developed in partnership with Ordnance Survey, Newcastle City Council and supplier Evergen Northumbria Water placed in Newcastle’s bustling Haymarket, next to the city’s bus station. Pollution-absorbing moss trees could be used to help make towns and cities healthier places to live and work, as part of a new pilot project being carried out by Northumbrian Water.
