A burning flare seen at an oil extraction area located in Lakie, Lubusz Voivodeship. The characteristic flaming flare is formed by the combustion of natural gas, which is extracted along with crude oil. It is used when the operator does not have a gas transmission installation or the further management of the extracted raw material is economically unprofitable. PGNiG (Polish Oil Mining and Gas Extraction ) plans to spend PLN billion on investments in 2022, the company announced in its annual report. The estimated oil production in Poland in 2022 is million tones.
