Tlie building is equipped withindirect lighting system, Otis elevator ofhydro-pneumatic type, compressed airhoists, and other modern appliances. Theoffices are located on the mezzaninefloor over the driveway, commanding aview of both store and factory, whichmakes a convenient as well as a verypleasing arrangement. The company recently purchased thecorner, 91 ft. 8 in. by 157 ft. 6 in., How-. BELTING COMPAXY, SAX PKASCISCOard and Fremont streets, on whichtheir new building stands. There hasbeen more activity in this district in thelast six months than there has been inseveral years, and the II. X. Cook Belt-ing Company has in a substantial wayshown its faith in the future of San Fran-cisco in the splendid building which theyhave erected for themselves. Equipping Steel ShipsXePage, Mc Kenny Company, elec-trical engineers and contractors, havingoffices at Seattle, Portland and SanFrancisco, report contract for completeelectrical equipment in ten 9400-tonsteel steamships being constructed forthe United States Government by Moore& Scott, shipbuilders of San Irancisco,the contract for this work being se-cured through the San Francisco of-fice. They also report that the Port-land office has secured a contract forthe electrical cijuipnient in ten woodenships
