No local treatment seems to check thestructural changes that go on ; it will run from one to twomonths; the horse has a Iavenous appetite all the time, and as arule does not lose flesh. Treatment.—Apply cool-ing applications, such ascold swabs ; that is, coverthe feet with two or three thicknesses of blankets, and keep wetwith cold water. After the acute symptoms subside, point is to lower the fever, and check the flow of blood tothe feet. Catarrh.
