The death of the moth-er occurred Aug. 1, 1871, whilethe father in the evening of hislife is now enjoying the pleasuresof a well spent and useful his father, Wm. H., our sub-ject, is indebted for the advantagesof a good education which he fin-ished at the old Mt. Pleasant Col-lege of Huntsville, Mo., in 71 and76.
