240129-N-FK754-1205 PACIFIC OCEAN (Jan. 29, 2024) An F/A-18E Super Hornet, assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 14, releases from the arresting gear cable on the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72). The Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group is underway in the 3rd Fleet area of operations conducting advanced tactical training that increases warfighting capability and tactical proficiency across all domains.
