Reconstruction of Pansa's House in Pompeii
Using the excavated finds as a guide, scholars and illustrators have reconstructed buildings that once stood in Pompeii Italy before it was destroyed in 79, when Mt. Vesuvius erupted. The view is of the atrium and the peristylium in the house named by the excavators as Panza's house The reconstruction design dates to 1883.
