Various plans werediscussed with a view to the continuanceof the congregation. The financial aspectnever gave cause for anxiety, as the churchhad ample funds for all its requirements—the difficulty being in keeping together acongregation of any size. The member-ship was about 21, and the prospect ofany increase was very remote. A sugges-tion for the appointment of a missionarytemporarily, and without the status of an ordained minister, was not regarded withfavour, and ultimately the question of dis-banding altogether had to be franklyfaced. The whole position of affairs wasconsidered by the Presbytery of Aberdeenand Perth, and a deputation from thecourt afterwards met in conference withthe congregation.
