More than three hundred soldiers from 1st Battalion Welsh Guards have marched through Cardiff this afternoon after a six-month tour of Afghanistan. The day started with a service of rememberance for the four members of the battalion who died during the operation. The total number of Welsh personnel killed has now risen to 32. Record Wales captain holder Ryan Jones has shown his support for the Welsh Guards who returned home today after a demanding six month tour of Afghanistan. Walk on Wales campaign was also launched. The campaign will see relay teams walk the Welsh Coast Path to raise £1 million for the Welsh Guards Afghanistan Appeal and Combat Stress in August next year.
