A visit to the greenhouses of the Blackman Floral Co. was an interesting one. It was a sight to see the grand Easter plants, especially the large batch of Easter lilies, which are just right. Immense quantities of bulbous stock, also, are just prime. In cut flowers the roses and carnations are especially fine. Premier and Columbia are in grand shape, as well as White Killar- ney. Carnations, big flowers on long, stiff stems, are about the best ever had here. The Evansville Nursery Co. and the Thornburg Nursery Co. :ire extremely busy planting out slirubbery. Otto Kuebler, at Kresge's, is showing a nice line of plants. ^ E. L. F. Congress Heights, D. C.—Theodore Dietrich plans to discontinue his flo- rists' business.
