The A'DAM Tower is a nearly one hundred meter high tower on the IJ- banks in Amsterdam-Noord . The tower was designed in 1966 by the Dutch architect Arthur Staal on behalf of Royal Shell . The building was therefore better known by many Amsterdammers as "Shell tower". In 2016, the tower was renamed A'DAM Toren after a two-year renovation.
