Sow in drills about ten inches apart, covering about half an inch, and thin the plants to two inches apart. A rapid growth is essential to produce showy, crisp radishes of a mild flavor. Sow every ten days for a succession of crops. Early Scarlet Turnip—For first and successive sowing in the open ground, we can strongly recommend this old favorite.
