This new berry orig-inated in Texas and is claimed to be perfectly hardy in any part of the United States or Canada. It is an entirely distinct variety and different from all dewberries in the shape and appearance of the leaf, which is smaller and more finely cut and of the most luscious shin- ing- g-reen color, but the g^reatest peculiarity is its g-reat productiveness, larg-e size and extra fine quality of the fruit. The originator writes the new white dewberry is a wonderful bearer ; it will yield fully three times as much to the vine as any other. They are very large, sweet and delicious, without any hard core in the center. Price, 10 cents each ; $1 per dozen ; $5 per 100. liVicretia Dewberry. A Variety of Blackberry that will Super- sede all other Blackberries for Ship- ping" North. In this new fruit we have the most delicious of all berries. Years ago they were found growing on the blue hills of Virginia by a Union soldier. Being so impressed with its value, after the war was over and peace had again smiled over our coun- try, he went back and got a few plants of it, but their value for market has never become generally known. The fruit is very much larger, richer, and far more prolific than any known variety of black- berry. When made into wine it gives a gentle stimulant, the flavor of the wine being as superior as that of the fruit. It ripens before all other blackberries, except Early Harvest, with which it ripens, but is so superior to it that it will bring nearly double the price per box.
