A Peace and Unity March took place in Nottingham Led by young people it included many of those affected by violent crime Among them was Sarah Wallace mother of 20 year old Daniel Williams whose son was stabbed to death in Radford last year Mrs Wallace words describing the aftermath of her son s death are painful to read But even so she insists that there is good in those caught up in the violence we ve just got to find a way of bringing it out of them The march went from the Forest Fields Recreation Ground to the Market Square in the centre of Nottingham It comes a week after Danielle Beccans’ killers lost their appeals against their conviction for murder Her murder trial heard the motive was hatred between people in The Meadows and St Anns areas Organiser Lesley Robinson said the march aims to bring victims families together with aggressors families to unite Radford the Meadows and St Anns Mr Robinson whose cousin Lloyd Robinson was a victim of territorial violence said If we don t do that then the community will be divided
