Architectural detail from St Etienne du Mont Church Latin Quarter Paris France

Church containing the shrine of St. Geneviève's remains, the remains reputedly consisting of the stone on which Genevieve's coffin was originally placed and her relics. Her actual tomb was destroyed during the revolution. Building began on the church in 1492, but after many delays it was completed over 130 years later in 1626. Contains a 16th century rood screen - the only one in Paris.
