MAMMOTH RED, OR SAPLING CLOVER—This variety grows five or six feet high and is used almost exclusively for plowing under for manure. Its stalks are so coarse and large that the stock will eat only the leaves. Sow at the rate of 8 pounds per acre. Weight 60 lbs. per bushel. ' WHITE DUTCH CLOVER (t. bepens)—An excellent pasture grass, forming, in conjunction with the Kentucky Blue Grass, the finest and most nutritious food for sheep and cows.
