Sesame Street's Elmo and Rosita are introduced by First Lady Michelle Obama at her final harvest of the White House Kitchen Garden, Thursday, October 6, 2016 in Washington. NASA astronaut Kjell Lindgren also participated in harvesting the garden. In the Spring, NASA officials joined the First Lady in planting seeds in the garden, including seedlings of the same variety of lettuce that has been grown on the International Space Station as part of the Veggie experiment.
