Pumpkinsare most of the time planted with Field Corn. When the Field Core is thinned out, six to eight Pumpkinseeds are planted in every third hill. These two crops will thrive well alongside of each other, providingthe ground is rich. (See illustration.) This is the best pie Pumpkin. Excellent as a goodtable delicacy either simply boiled or when entering into the compositionof the traditional Pumpkin pie. When fed to cows it enriches the quality and increases the flow ofmilk, besides imparting to it a rich yellow. Fine grained. Grows to average five pounds; vieldsenormously.
