Eagletown, Saudi Arabia, Ikonos satellite image. Eagletown is a United States military base located outside Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Because of its strategic importance, the US has a number of military bases in Saudi Arabia. Following the terrorist bombing in 1996 of their base in Dhahran, personnel were transferred to nearby Eagletown. They make use of the King Abdul Aziz airbase. Photographed on 22 April, 2002.
