Village of Fiskardo, Kefalonia. Picturesque late spring view of the fishing harbour at Fiskardo, with Delosperma brunnthaler in full bloom in the foreground. This busy fishing and ferry port, is also a favoured tourist destination where visitors arrive by both land and sea. Due to the geology of the area, Fiskardo escaped the devastation experienced by the rest of the island in the 1953 earthquake. The village is said to retain much of its original Venetian architecture.
