Abingdon, England - 30 July 2020; Abingdon claims to be the oldest town in England. If you walk over its medieval bridge early on a fine summer morning, this is the scene that will greet you. The view is dominated by lots of pleasure boats, moored and cruising the river. In fact, this whole area is beloved of boat folk, walkers, dogs and people who just like lounging around! But today it's so early that the scene is deserted. You can just see St Helens Wharf in the distance, although the fine Anglo Saxon St Helens Church is hidden from view.
