The victim who answered the door to the attacker was seriously assaulted she rushed to Southampton General Hospital after being hit numerous times with a hammer. Tuesday 12th April 2016 Police in Portsmouth are hunting a person who attacked a teenage girl in Fratton last night Emergency services rushed to the scene just after 7pm. The victim who answered the door to the attacker was seriously assaulted she rushed to Southampton General Hospital after being hit numerous times with a hammer. The 17 year old girl is said to be in a critical condition but stable. One resident Donna Sears said " A poor girl was attacked with a hammer in friends house down the road by a bloke, he knocked the door and ran out leaving her in a very bad way, not sure of the outcome I left as was concerned where he was, had my son at home." The attacker is still on the run after carrying out the cowardly attack. A man hunt has been set up by detectives who have spent all night at the scene on Shearer Road in Fratton. A number of properties remain sealed off by Police. ©UKNIP
