Of smaller })irds, the Reed-warblersliad liardly ])egun to nest. They arealways late, appearing to wait untilthe reeds ha\e grown up to a fairlieight. June and Jidy are more likelymonths for their nests, and I havefound fresh eggs in August. The nestsare very easy to find, and are generallycner water, but occasionally on dryground, among meadow-sweet, andeven in lilac and willow.
