160404-N-MV308-008 KANEOHE BAY, Hawaii (April 4, 2016) Family and friends of Sailors assigned to Patrol Squadron (VP) 9 watch as the final P-3C Orion maritime patrol aircraft touches down at Marine Corps Base Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii on after a seven-month deployment. During the tri-theater deployment, spanning Europe, Africa, and South America, the squadron completed assignments in 13 detachment sites throughout 10 different countries, flying 760 missions and achieving 4,893 mishap-free hours.
