The florists of the city were no back numbers at the spring fashion show in- dulged in by tho retail board of the Chamber of Commerce, opening Tuesday evening, March 28. The decorations for the department store windows were made up chiefly of potted plants, cut flowers and palms and these made a fitting background for the gala exhibits of spring styles. One of the prominent department stores had a unique display of table linens actually spread upon a dining table, with elaborate centerpieces of cut flowers accompanied by silver, china and cut glass. Another dinner table noted in particu- lar was a style sponsored by the famous maitre d'hotel, Oscar, of the Hotel Waldorf. This table was arranged with a centerpiece, a large bowl with a stand- ing vase filled with salmon-colored orchids, sweet peas and single jonquils, arranged by A. Doebeli, of the North Bridgeport Florist. This combination MEMBER F. 1. D. 'imM GEO. WITTBOLD CO.
