Designed by William Stroudley, 50 members of the class were built in 1872 ... However, the engines were more famously known as "Terriers" on account of the distinctive 'bark' of the exhaust beat. The Bluebell Railway is a 17km Heritage line in Sussex England operating vintage steam trains. It was the first preserved standard gauge railway to open to public service in August 1960 . it is now firmly established as a premier visitor attraction in South East England
