There is also a line of track, about 6 mileslong, running through the residential section of Peekskill, thencethrough Centerville and Buchanans to Verplanck Point, where thereis a popular pleasure resort. This branch of the trolley line servesa population of about 2500 people, who would otherwise have nomeans of reaching Peekskill except by stage.
