The city of Bengaluru, still commonly known by its former name of Bangalore, is one of the largest cities in southern India with a population in excess of 10 million. It is regarded as one of India's more westernised cities and it hosts a large number of IT companies and call centres, but it still retains a typically Indian flavor.
