The old Refuge* Bean is so well and favorably known that this new variety will be quickly appreciated. It is similar in every respect to the ordinary Refugee but it is nearly two weeks earlier. PROLIFIC TREE. This valuable variety for field culture is the most prolific bean yet known, growing 18 to 24 inches high, branching out in all directions. They yield from 40 to 50 bushels per acre. Plant in rows 3 feet apart, one bean in a hill, 20 inches apart. Four quarts are sufficient for an acre.
