A depression-era Dust Bowl farm in Cimarron County, Oklahoma, April 1936. The Dust Bowl was a large area in south-central America that underwent prolonged drought and dust storms due to soil erosion during the 1930s. Many people were reduced to extreme poverty and forced to migrate.
