Ground plaque/tribute to Mary Rand who won gold in the 1964 Olymics games in Tokyo. Won gold in the long jump to become first British female to win an Olympic gold medal in `track and field`. Remains the only GB female athlete to win three medals in a single Olympic games. Mary was born and grew up in Wells, Somerset. Now lives in USA and has joint US/UK citizenship.
