He abandoned before the end of the 79th Paris-Nice 2021 cycling race took place from March 07 to 14, 2021. The third stage consisted of an individual time trial around the city of Gien of km and was held on March 09, winner of the stage is the Swiss Stefan Bissegger of the EF Nippo team. The overall winner of the race is Maximilian Schachmann (Bora-Hansgrohe team).
