Frankfurt,,Our Dear Lady Gothic-style Catholic churchLiebfrauen fountain and Christmas market stalls. The church was built in phases from 14th to16th century now a monastery church for Capuchin monks. The church was destroyed by bombing in World War II in 1944 with only fragments of the high altar and statue of Mary surviving. The church was restored in the 1950s. Liebfrauenberg square fountain with high column,sculptures of river god figurines Moenus and Rhenus (Main & Rhine) and shell pools borne by dolphins. Frankfurt city arms is on the front of column.
