This is the interior of the house and museum at Talbot House in the Belgium town of Poperinge known during the First World War as Pop. Talbot house known to soldiers a Toc-H was managed by the Padre Rev Tubby Clayton where the house rule was that all men should leave their caps at the door since rank and regiment are of no consequence in Toc-H's Everyman's Club. Being behind the front line Toc-H provided respite from the horrors of the battlefield with the garden now as then providing a peaceful haven.
