Innenhof Heiliggeistspital
In Wismar, the Heiligen-Geist-Hospital was founded in 1249 on the north side of Lübsche Straße, directly on the former borders between the ‘Altstadt’ and the ‘Neustadt’. The complex of hospital church and residential tract has been preserved in its mediaeval form and, in conjunction with the picturesque courtyard (the former cemetery) forms an ensemble of rare self-containedness.
