On opening theabdomen the two swellings, which were apparently separate, onexternal examination, were found to be simply lobes of the sametumor. Over the right lobe part of the broad ligament was re-flected. The aspirator was used, but the fluid was too thick topass through it. This tumor is shown in Figs. 3 and 4. An autopsy dis-closed the true character of the trouble. The mass removed isrepresented in the accompanying cut. Croftbrd ^I!^^ reports a case of ovarian tumor, removed from awoman 62 years of age, which weighed seventy-five pounds. Shehad been tapped seven times.
