In the dorsal view of the pupa (Fig. 12) it is seen that all the segments of the thorax and abdomen bear bristles, the prothoracic (pr) bristles being more marked than those of the other segments. In the centre of the mesothoracic segment (ms) lies the scutellum (sc), while the metathoracic (mt) shows a fairly wide longitudinal groove, the scutellar groove (sg)..
