Les Baxter Caribbean Moonlight Capitol Records T733 album sleeve, glamorous woman against setting sun, tropical island. Issued in 1956, reached the No. 5 spot on Billboard magazine's "Pop Instrumentals" chart. Easy listening, exotica

Another of the "exotic beauty" style of glamorous packaging which Capitol excelled at in the late 1950s. Caribbean Moonlight by Les Baxter was issued in 1957 and got into Billboards 'pop instrumental' chart the following year. I would be fairly sure this is a studio photograph, with the setting sun and sea backdrop in front of which they've place a few palm tree leaves and the woman herself. It makes quite a moody image overall, with a hand drawn album title and the band leader's name typeset. The back is black and white with one of those typical commercial sketches and a few sleeve notes. The designer, photographer and model are not credited.
